Hotel Relais il Cestello  is an ancient building in Florence in front of river Arno which, in the past, was used as  post office and transportation by horse carriage. Nowdays it has become a three star hotel. It has only 10 elegant rooms with an exclusive view on Piazza di Cestello and very near to one of the most famous bridges in the world, Ponte Vecchio (The Old Bridge).

Every room is well furnished in old florentine style and equipped with all today's comforts: air conditioning, safe box, mini bar, satellite tv set and high speed wi-fi access to internet.

The windows look at the outstanding Piazza di Cestello and you can admire the beautiful Cestello Church, the surrounding area of San Frediano, the Ognissanti Church on the other side of river Arno. San Frediano is a very characteristic  area in Florence where you may still find craftmen dealing with wood, leather glass, as much as jewelry shops.

Near the hotel there are Piazza del Carmine , Piazza di Santo Spirito and the beautiful Pitti Palace, since our hotel lies in the very heart of the city and in a few minute walk you can easily reach the Central Railway Station, Piazza della Signoria and, of course, the world known shopping streets as Via della Vigna Vecchia, Via Tornabuoni and Republic Square.

If you just take a pleasant walk you can easily get to Exhibition Centres like Fortezza da Basso. Cathedral Square and  the most beautiful churches are very close to the hotel.
