MapPalazzo Masi is an ancient medieval building (XIII century)located in the heart of historical center, a few metres from Piazza del Campo, the famous Palio's square, surrounded with the most famous monuments, museums, shops and restaurants.The rooms have been fully restored to its original with cotto floors and high wooden beamed ceilings, using only high quality and hand-made materials : so they preserve the ancient atmosphere, keeping intact the taste of sienese tradition and integrating it with modern comfort. At the end of XIX century, Palazzo Masi was one of the palaces in the historical centre belonged to Benito Masi, an esteemed and famous sienese saddler, ancestor of the present owner. The restoration of the old instruments, certificates, diplomas, on show on the walls, let the guest to know an ancient job, now totally disappeared.
The use of Palazzo Masi's garage, for bicycles and bikes, is free for all its guests and is allowed to enter by car in the limited-traffic zone until the front-door . A special discount will be reserved to Palazzo Masi's guests to Il Campo Parking, near the structure.
Palazzo Masi offers his welcome guests two kinds of room, both large,bright, confortable and with suggestive names:
Superior rooms (La Sella, la Staffa and l’Arco), completely renewed and restored, with charming medieval ceilings on wood, cotto and chiselled capitals, floors with sienese cotto, ancient furniture, objects and tissues from the restoration of the palace's furniture, TV, TV-Sat , cabled-TV and private bathrooms.To offer you the best comfort, the ancient beds on brass just restored have new double mattresses on latex and orthopaedic bases.All the windows have anti-noise glasses and bathrooms are equipped with special heaters for towels.
Standard rooms (La Briglia, lo Sperone and la Martingala), located on the noble floor ,with shared bathrooms , large and with view on the ancient noble street of Casato or on Servi's cathedral, with cheap prices.
Breakfast in Palazzo Masi , for superior and standard rooms, is rich of quality food, based on fresh products from the most famous sienese confectioner's; it's on request, and it can be served in one of the breakfast rooms or directly in the guest's rooms, using for superior rooms ancient silverware, linen and porcelaines.You can have:
tea, aromatic tea, italian coffee, american coffee,milk, milk and coffee,
chocolate
fruit juices
fresh bread just wood-cooked
brioches , cakes or confectioner's pastries just take out of the oven
double-baked sliced bread
toasts with cheese and ham
